Soft4file Video Converter software started soon after the Internet became popular in 1997. Located in the capital of Hubei province, Wuhan, China’s third ranked science and technology city, Soft4file specializes in flash video and DVD authoring tools for web developers. Marketed under the brand Soft4file, the free video converter also has a paid Pro Version available. We will get into the differences later, but because of a support mixup (see the conclusions section), we ended up reviewing the Free version.

It has many unique features, one of which will save time or web developers who have to make a snapshot of the video so they can include that in the startup. It will convert videos to image series which shaves a little time from development, and adds flexibility to the product.

Most of Media Converter and small video sharing sites only need a server side application that can help to stream live content using Flash and encode FLV. In that case, affording powerful Adobe Flash Media Server is not necessary, not to mention it is not that affordable.

In fact, Soft4file Video Encoder Engine for Adobe Flash is not that new to Flash media server. It is a stable product that has been experienced for years and used by many companies and schools. The Windows version and Linux version both have been upgraded to 3.0, and it even developed visual web management for users that do not like commend-line to build their video streaming sites easier.
